Parking and Transportation News
Quad Lot Permit Holders (formerly known as Quad 1)
Summer construction is fully underway as Campus Planning, Design and Construction works to advance several critical infrastructure projects.
As a result of the work specifically occurring near the Dome, we expect the Quad parking lot (formerly known as Q1) to experience occasional disruptions. Also, beginning Monday, July 8, parking in the rear of the Quad lot will be limited due to construction activity. The loading docks at Falk College and Heroy Geology Laboratory will remain open. The work is expected to continue through winter break.
Throughout this construction schedule, Quad permit holders will continue to have access to Quad parking. Service permits will only be honored based on parking availability.
We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and patience. Parking and Transit Services will reach out to Quad permit holders for any future change in accommodations.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Parking and Transit Services at 315.443.4652, or via email at parkmail@syr.edu.
Irving Garage Permit Holders
Beginning Tuesday, May 28, concrete repair work will commence on the bridge from Irving Ave Garage. To help minimize the disruption to permit holders, the majority of the work will be done during evening hours, after 5:00 PM. The first phase of the work will take two to three weeks and should have no impact on the use of the bridge during business hours. The second phase of the repair will require that the bridge be closed for two or three days to allow a coating to dry. This work will be planned around a weekend or the 4th of July holiday period. Additional information regarding the bridge closure will be provided when the schedule has been confirmed.
We appreciate your understanding and flexibility during this time and look forward to providing you with an enhanced parking experience.
