Parking and Transportation News

Syracuse University’s Parking and Transportation Services is upgrading the tracking system on its University shuttles. A new vendor is currently being installed and is undergoing testing to replace the the old system.

While tests on the new system are underway, subus.syr.edu is not available for Syracuse University buses/trolleys. During the testing period, only Centro transportation options will appear on the subus.syr.edu tracking website.

Parking and Transportation is aiming to have its new tracking and timing system operable later in the Fall 2026 semester, which will introduce many new features to community members utilizing public transportation on and around campus.

University community members planning to travel on campus on Monday, September 7 should be aware that campus shuttle service will be limited due to the Labor Day holiday. No Centro buses will operate, and campus shuttle service to South Campus and the Warehouse will run on a holiday schedule. Regular service will resume on Tuesday, September 8.

• University parking lots will open at 4:00 p.m., with shuttle service from Skytop and Colvin/Comstock beginning at 4:00 p.m.
• Gates to the JMA Wireless Dome will open at 6:30 p.m.
• The show begins at 7:30 p.m.
• University parking lots surrounding the JMA Wireless Dome are SOLD OUT. Guests who do not have a pre-purchased parking pass must park at the Skytop Lot. Parking will not be available near the Dome on the day of the event without a valid parking pass.
• Event day parking at the Skytop Lot will be available for $35 per vehicle, with complimentary shuttle service provided to and from College Place before and after the event. Guests are strongly encouraged to purchase parking in advance to help reduce delays and wait times when entering the lot. Purchasing in advance also allows for a quicker and more convenient arrival experience on event day.

With a full day of events at the JMA Wireless Dome, large crowds and heavy traffic are expected on Saturday, April 11. Fans are strongly encouraged to plan ahead and arrive early to avoid delays.

The day will feature an Orange triple header:

• Women’s lacrosse vs. Notre Dame at 12:00 p.m.
• Men’s lacrosse vs. Virginia at 4:00 p.m.
• Spring football game at 7:30 p.m.

Parking & Shuttle Information:

• Parking in the Dome West Lots is SOLD OUT.
• Fans attending the men’s lacrosse game or the spring football game who do not already have parking should plan to park at the John A. Lally Athletics Complex. Click here for directions
• Complimentary shuttle service will be provided to and from the Dome beginning at 2:30 PM.
• ADA parking will be available in the Irving Avenue Garage (IRVD). Click here for directions

Traffic & Construction Reminder:
 Ongoing construction related to the I-81 viaduct project continues to impact traffic patterns around the Dome. Road closures and detours are in effect, and routes fans may have used previously could be unavailable.

Arriving early, allowing extra travel time, and utilizing shuttle services will help ensure a smooth experience for all guests throughout the day.

A large crowd and heavy traffic are expected on Saturday, March 28 around the JMA Wireless Dome. Fans are strongly encouraged to plan ahead and arrive early to avoid delays.

The day will feature a lacrosse doubleheader:

• Women’s lacrosse vs. Pittsburgh at 10:00 a.m.
• Men’s lacrosse vs. Duke at 2:00 p.m.

Due to high demand, parking for the men’s lacrosse game vs. Duke is SOLD OUT in the Dome West Lots.

Parking & Shuttle Information:

• Fans who did not pre-purchase parking for the Dome West Lots should plan to park at the John A. Lally Athletics Complex.
• Shuttle service will be available to and from the Dome beginning at 12:30 p.m.
• Guests attending only the men’s game are strongly encouraged to utilize the shuttle system, as no additional on-site parking will be available.
