This week, Campus Planning, Design and Construction will begin the second phase of a crosswalk replacement project on College Place. The work will necessitate a multi-day closure of College Place, and is tentatively scheduled to begin on Tuesday, August 10, and last until Sunday, August 15, weather dependent.
During the closure of the road, the College Place bus stop will be temporarily relocated to the front of the Life Sciences building, along Comstock Avenue. Both Centro buses and University trolleys will pick up and drop off from that location.
While the work is underway, permit holders for the College Place lot will enter the lot via Euclid Avenue. Permit holders for the Goldstein Alumni and Faculty Center lot will need to enter that lot via University Place. Permit holders for the Lyman-Hinds lot, which is closed for chilled water line installation, will continue to park in the College Place lot, accessible via Euclid Avenue. Limited access to the Lyman-Hinds lot will be maintained for accessible parking only, and will be entered via University Place.
We appreciate your understanding and flexibility during this time. Please contact Parking and Transportation Services at 315.443.4652 or via email at parkmail@syr.edu with any questions or concerns.
