Attention Student Permit Holders

For those of you who have permits that expire at the end of the fall 2017 semester, and who park in a secured/gated area, you are required to return your proxcards, smartcards, and fobs to Parking and Transit Services at 621 Skytop Road. These devices must be received within two weeks of the expiration on the permit to qualify for a refund. If the office is closed, please use the drop box located by the front door.

University Avenue Garage Notice

On Wednesday, November 22, contractors will perform electrical work in the University Avenue Garage from about 7:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. During this time, the elevators in the garage will not be available.

We recognize this is an inconvenience and we have identified alternative parking arrangements for you. During construction, your permit will be valid in the following lots:

  • Lehman
  • University
  • Harrison

Parking and Traffic Information for School Day at the Dome on Monday, November 20

On Monday, November 20, the women’s basketball team will host a school day in the Carrier Dome. Students from 44 schools around the area will arrive on campus for the game between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Buses will be unloading students at the College Place bus stop as well as the Gate G area by the Dome. There will be 85 extra buses on campus that day, which means traffic will be heavier than normal.

For the West Campus area, the buses will park in half of the Stadium and Fine lots, and all of Standart lot. Parking staff will assist permit holders to help limit congestion and confusion. Buses will depart between 12 and 1:30 p.m. Parking staff will be on hand to direct traffic.

Tuesday, January 16, 2018 vs. Pittsburgh – 9:00 P.M.
Wednesday, January 24, 2018 vs. Boston College – 7:00 P.M.
Wednesday, February 14, 2018 vs. NC State – 9:00 P.M.

ACCESS FOR ACADEMIC PURPOSES

Home lot parking permits will be honored until four hours prior to tip-off. Access to campus for academic purposes for faculty and staff, with a valid SU parking permit, will be provided in the following lots on a space available basis:

Booth Garage
Ostrom Lot
Harrison Lot
UNV Lot
Lehman Lot

NOTE: The garage will close one and a half hours after the event ends. If your parking needs are not met because of this, please contact our office.

Accessible parking for academic purposes will be provided in the lot designated on the face of the permit if space is available. If no spaces are available, permit holders will be directed to another location.

ACCESS FOR THOSE ATTENDING BASKETBALL GAMES

If you are attending a game on any of the above noted dates, your regular parking permit will be honored at the Manley North or South parking lots. Patrons will be transported to and from College Place. If you have an accessible placard  or medical permit, you may park in the Skytop lot and ride the shuttle bus, free of charge, to Gate A/Gate G.
