The City of Syracuse will begin roadwork on Euclid Avenue that includes repaving, curb replacement and the creation of a dedicated bicycle lane. As a result of the traffic pattern change, vehicles heading north in campus outbound traffic on Euclid Avenue will no longer make a left turn on Comstock Avenue. Parking and Transportation News
Booth Garage Traffic & Quad Shuttle Stop Changes
Beginning Monday, June 18, Comstock Avenue will be closed from the Waverly Ave intersection north to the Booth Garage entrance. The remainder of the block north of the Booth Garage entrance will be temporarily converted to 2-way traffic to allow for uninterrupted access to the garage (to and from Marshall Street). The work is planned for completion by Monday, June 25, at which time traffic flow will return to normal. Use caution in the area and follow local signage.
Pedestrian pathways on adjacent sidewalks will not be impacted. The shuttle stop for the Quad shuttle has also been relocated during this period to the corner of Comstock Ave and Waverly Ave.
During the closure, the Office of Campus Planning, Design and Construction (CPDC), in partnership Physical Plant and the City of Syracuse, will be repairing a damaged section of sewer piping located under Comstock Avenue.
